NSOFT is a Utility Revenue Maximization specialist. Our solutions help distribution utilities increase revenue, profits, productivity and reduce losses. We do this through our state-of-the-art Smart metering / Advanced Metering Infrastructure, IOT technology, billing & collection solutions, utility automation systems, Analytics, LoRa/Gprs communication networks, Energy auditing and Energy management solutions.

NSOFT was established in 1996 in Bangalore and is now a leading provider of Total revenue management for Utilities, ERP & utility automation and Smart Metering solutions for Electricity and Water utilities. NSOFT manages more than 15 million consumers per annum spread across 8 utilities, and handle transactions worth more than Rs 10,000 crores per annum. We pioneered Spot billing systems and moved on to photo billing, probe based billing, smart phone billing, and now have a patent pending Smart module for AMI. We have created multiple RF (last mile Connectivity) platforms using Wi-Fi, Lora & 6LowPan technologies apart from GPRS connectivity over 3G and 4G networks.

We are a fast-growing team of 1000 plus people across the country. Our domain expertise has been diligently built over the past two decades. Our robust and mature internal processes and systems can handle the scale, size and the geographic spread of power and water utilities. We are certified for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 270001:2013, ISO 20000-1:2011 and CMMI Level 5 and we believe in continuous improvement, innovation and growth. The company was founded and is led by Dr Naagaraj Subramanya Ph.D (IISc), M.Tech (IIT, Chennai).

Major Projects

GESCOM – 6 million consumers

Utility ERP: A customized, turnkey enterprise ERP covering F&A, Procurement, Human resource management has been developed and operated with full back-end support teams at GESCOM covering 6 million consumers.

HESCOM – 4.1 million consumers

Total revenue Management solution is implemented to capture meter readings, produce bills, record cash collection and provide visibility into operations for top management. Full back-end support and operations of the system is provided

Military Engineer Services

AMI is implemented using NSOFT Smart modules; Billing of post-paid consumers, prepaid meter management, street light management, auto Disconnect/reconnect, Collections, reconciliation and Energy management system helps MES locations in Karwar, Yelahanka and Hebbal in utility operations management.

GESCOM – 2.4 million consumers

NSOFT TRM (Total revenue management solution) is implemented ( along with back-end support) and automates the workflow from data collection/management, billing and collection, system management and reports/alerts to Utility operations

Chennai Metro, Cochin Port Trust

AMI has been implemented to obtain regular automatic meter readings automatically. Billing and collection cycle is also completed using NSOFT’s head end software.

GESCOM

Smart modules/AMI system is implemented at DTCs and consumers. Leakages are idenitified through Real time energy auditing and accounting. Losses have been reduced from 40% to 20% .

PUVVNL & WBSEDCL

NSOFT provides field metering/billing services at PUVVNL in UP for 4.5 million consumers, and at WBSEDCL for 1.6 million consumers. NSOFT can use a range of metering technologies/methods from manual to semi-automatic such as optical reading and drive-by reading.

BWSSB

We provide spot billing services using our head end software for 1 million consumers for Bangalore Water supply.

Bengal Gas

Enterprise ERP covering Sales, Consumer onboarding, CRM, Billing/collections, Purchase/supplier/contracts management, F&A, HR & O&M is being implemented at BGCL. The enterprise software is custom built, developed and cloud hosted/ managed by NSOFT

BESCOM - 4.9 million consumers
